Topmost is how D chose to "enhance" the photo - middle is how I would have done it - if I had wanted to. And below if the photo as it came out of the camera and was used in my post yesterday... just for reference.
With a side-by-side comparison the middle one definitely looks more "natural." My eye relates better with that. Without the juxtaposition his doesn't look unnatural though...digital trickery.
